[Guerlain] Teint de Jolie | My currently favorite foundation for the Summer

Hello beauties,

What if I tell you that there’s a formula that combines the perfection of a foundation, the beautiful effect of a skincare product, and the sun-kissed radiance?

Summer is that time of the year that we want to be on our best and what better way to be on that spirit than to feel the skin sun-kissed. If you have combination (more to the oily side) skin like me, there’s a fine line between Goddess of the Sun and Goddess of the oil with some foundations or creams.

You may be thinking that I’m exaggerating but let’s be honest: isn’t it the best feeling to get out of the house feeling like a million bucks?

Well, that’s what the Guerlain Terracotta Tein de Jolie makes me feel.

Guerlain Terracotta Teint de Jolie

‘Against fatigue that blurs the complexion, women now have TERRACOTTA JOLI TEINT. At the heart of winter or upon arrival of spring, this beautiful small bottle reveals the skin radiance! Appearing make-up-free, your complexion is instantaneously warmer, more even, and naturally radiant, as though you have just returned from a weekend in
the sun. SPF 20′.

Available in 5 shades: Clair, Naturel, Moyen, Foncé and Ebony.

How to apply

In the morning, apply to the face and neck instead of your usual Foundation. Alone, I use two pumps for all my face and neck.

The plump is great and perfect to control the quantity of product you want to take

I discovered that this foundation paired with Make Up For Ever Aqua foundation is the perfect combination for my skin. The combination makes this foundation even more lightweight and perfect for my combination/oily skin. I’m currently using these two (one pump of each one) with my favorite brush by Essence. I tried it with a beauty blender but for summer I like the light/médium coverage that the brush provides.

Final Thoughts

The Terracotta Jolie Teint have a fine texture that leaves a smooth, non-sticky finish that I love for my skin during the Summer. It stays on my skin for a lot of time, without the need for a lot of touch-ups. I like to use some powder on top but that’s my preference. I think this is perfect for normal skin but also for combination skin. If you have super oily skin maybe you will feel the need to do more touch ups during the day (and you can definitely say no to a powder).

This product is also ideal when paired with the TERRACOTTA Bronzing Powder by the same brand. I tried it with the Terracotta bronzer and with another’s brand bronzer and we can see some difference when using with the terracotta BUT you can use another bronzer from another brand and the result will also be beautiful, that I can assure you.

I also like the perfume of this product. It has Tiare Flower fragrance that can be a little bit overwhelming in the beginning if you are sensitive but as the times passes it leaves a gentle scent on the skin. You can feel the scent for a lot of time and honestly, this is a big bonus for me- the smell is really really good!

Now the bad, the range of colors are very poor. The lightest shade is very dark if you have fair skin. I have the shade Clair and I only can wear it now that I’m more tan. Maybe in the middle of summer, I can use the shade Natural.

This product is a little bit pricey. It has a price of $54 for 30ml. You can buy it here.

Because I’m using it with the Make up for ever Foundation, mine will last more time than using it alone (I’m only using one pump- sometimes less) and like that it will compensate the price. And as I said, I really love the sun-kissed effect that this gives to my skin, I hear a lot of compliments about how my skin looks healthy and glowing when I’m using this product but I can see that it’s an expensive product. It’s Guerlain!

Have you tried this product? What’s your favorite Foundation for Summer?
