[Yves Rocher] Passion Fruit and Ginger Summer Collection | Is it beautyworkers approved?

Hello beauties,

This month Yves Rocher has launched his summer collection. I admit that being a big consumer of this brand, I’m always curious about what the summer collection will look like.

For the 2018 Summer Collection, it was chosen a tropical fruit: Maracuja! To the characteristic smell of this fruit, they also add the power of the ginger.

Maracuja is rich in B-complex vitamins, which help regulate neurological activities in the brain.
Oh, and you can use and abuse the consumer of this fruit because our body does not reserve those vitamins, so the intake must be daily!
It is naturally soothing, shows advantages in anti-inflammatory processes and has an antioxidant effect on the skin due to its richness in vitamin C and mineral salts.

In addition to being used in the kitchen, ginger is increasingly used in dermatology. New York- based brand Kiehl’s recently launched a mask – Ginger Leaf and Hibiscus Firming Mask, proving that ginger has skin-friendly properties (fine lines reduction, velvety texture, and relaxing power).

The collection is formed by a perfumed bath & shower gel, a moisturizing gel, a perfume and an exfoliant. All the products are beautifully packaged, with a very summery feeling.

The Perfumed Bath & Shower gel, promises to leave the skin soft and delicately scented.

  • Botanical cleansing base, easily biodegradable formula
  • This formula contains more than 98% ingredients from natural origin
  • The recyclable bottle containing recycled plastic
  • Ethoxy free, paraben free

The shower gel for me is a success. In addition to feeling a very moisturized and smooth skin after using it, the smell is very nice and stays in the skin for some time.

The Moisturizing Gel, promises to be a light gel on the body to recover perfectly the moisturizing of the skin.

  • This formula contains more than 98% ingredients from natural origin.
  • Eco-friendly tube made from 25% less plastic than a standard tube
  • Paraben free, mineral oil free.

The moisturizing gel was the product that made me more curious. I admit to be a big consumer of body creams even though I never have time to use them every day.

The fact that the gel promised to be quick-absorbing made me very excited – which is true! The skin absorbs quickly the gel, leaving in the end, a fresh touch that is very pleasant. And who likes to wait for the cream to be absorbed? Like…no one!! but that’s definitely not a problem with this gel.
My problem with this gel was the scent, that despite being very inviting and pleasant – did not last long on the skin, as well as the sensation of the hydrated skin.

Perhaps due to the fact that the gel contains alcohol, as the second ingredient,  for a quick ‘drying’ has removed some of the moisturizing properties. The fact that contains so much alcohol is also not good for people with skin problems, like dermatitis or eczema.

Final Thoughts

This collection has all the points to be a success and I was very enthusiastic about trying all the products.
In my view, all the products have a very pleasant scent (or as Yves Rochey’s likes to say…to dive you into the heat of tropical nature).

The shower gel is perfect to use on a warmer weather. The perfume delivers a good amount of fragrance during the day. For a everyday use, the moisturizing gel is a good product because it dries quickly and at some point delivers some moisture to the skin. But if you are looking for a super moisturizer to use after the beach or if you have very dry skin, this is not the best cream for you.
