Hello beauties,
A few weeks ago I tried the Boscia Black Peel-off Mask (if you hadn’t had the chance to read it, you can do it here) and I really liked it. It’s not a blackhead mask but na illuminating mask that takes all the dead skin of your skin (you can literally see it).
I liked it so much that I went to a Sephora decided to buy the Black Peel-off mask! Blame my lack of attention or momentary blindness (because of all the new beauty products that were on display), but instead of bringing the black mask, I brought the Detoxifying Black Cleanser.
I still thought about going to change it but after reading on the net what this cleanser promised, I decided to give it a try!
‘A warming gel cleanser that deeply cleanses and refreshes skin. Dissolves pore-clogging impurities, oil, and makeup as it refines skin texture brightens skin clarity and minimizes the look of pores over time’.
How you should use it
Gently massage cleanser onto a dampened face to create a warming lather. Rinse clean with water. Use morning and evening.
Thoughts
The packaging is the most simple package that I saw, it’s all black and it has a dispenser that after a couple of uses became the most difficult dispenser that I had to tell until today. It also brings a small locking clip on the dispenser that it’s the most dangerous thing if you have children or even dogs.
Now, the product. I like it, like a lot. So much that I use it almost every day. I like the strong smell of charcoal, beware if you don’t like strong scents because this one is Strong. I also like the warm sensation that you start to feel once you rub it between your hands (it doesn’t get hot but it definitely heats up…I have no idea how it does it!). Finally, I like the fact that this helps a lot melting the makeup (making it easier to remove).
I normally use this cleanser after taking the major of the makeup with a makeup cloth or a makeup wipe. I use it alone or with the Clarisonic and lately I’ve been using it a lot with the Clarisonic.
I know, that it’s a little too much to clean the skin with three different steps but I don’t do this every day. That’s the only way that I feel my skin truly clean (can you believe that even after two steps before, when I use the Clarisonic the brush always came with some makeup?).
I do feel a difference in my skin texture since I’m using this cleanser.
I almost forgot to say that I have sensitive skin and this product doesn’t cause any type of irritation on my skin, this also doesn’t strip away to much oil (which is good if you have dry patches like I do). Overall, this is a gentle but effective makeup remover.
Will I repurchase this? Yes, although I need to find a new dispenser (hopefully the problem is only with this one).
You can buy this product in Sephora and it costs $10 (1.7oz.) or $30 (5oz.). I know that’s expensive but I bought the smaller size and it lasts quite a while.
Have you tried this cleanser? Do you know about any dupe?
