KLAIRS Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask | Review

Hello beauties,

Lately, I’ve been dealing with some breakouts on my jaw/neck area and it’s a bummer! That’s why I’ve been reaching for my favorite cream for acne-prone skin: the Klairs Midnight Blue calming cream. This cream is definitely one of my favorite products, it consistently works for me (if you haven’t checked the review about this cream, then click here).

So I was beyond excited to try the Midnight Blue Calming Sheet Mask!

The Midnight Blue calming Sheet Mask is the third addition to the Klairs Midnight Blue line. This mask is designed to those who have acne prone skin that needs some help with open pores while also calming and soothing the skin.

In theory, this mask should be perfect for my current problems.

This mask has a lot of claims, such as:

  • Calming the skin
  • Decrease sensitivity
  • Control Oil
  • Cooling effect
  • Pore Care (clogged pores)

Besides Charcoal, this sheet mask also contains the well-known Centella Asiatica Extract which is known to promote healing. It also contains Melaleuca Alternifolia Leaf Oil and Salix Alba Bark Extract which is both known to be acne-fighting ingredients. In total, this sheet mask has 22 ingredients.

The product is packaged in a black matte packet that almost looks like leather. It comes in a classic “rip to open” packaging, which I like. The sheet mask itself comes in 2 parts, one for the upper half of the face and another for the lower half of the face. Personally, I prefer this type of design because they tend to be easy to apply and fit on the face.

The sheet mask is very saturated to the point of dripping down my hands, and has a consistency of a soap (very viscous)! It has a consistency similar to the of the Klairs toner, only slightly more viscous.

Apply the mask and wait 15-20 minutes. Wait for the skin to absorb the remaining excess of product.

Final Thoughts

It was really easy to stay 20 minutes with the mask on my face, it was very comfortable to use and I didn’t mind to stay more time with it on my face. The mask is made with pure cotton design and it’s very pleasant to have on the face.

What about the results? Well, I was expecting more drastic results. I have to be honest and say that I was expecting more. Probably because of the fact that I was expecting the same results that the Midnight Blue Cream does during one night.

I like how my skin absorbed the remaining product and didn’t turn out oily, and I felt it more hydrated and very smooth. The skin looked more plumped and I also noticed some brightening effect. The cooling effect is also noticeable and it’s very pleasant.

Now, my pimples are still there but I dare to say that they look a little bit less inflated.

In the end, this is a good mask, easy to apply and your skin looks in better shape after it, but for breakouts, nothing beats the Midnight Blue Calming Cream.

Where to buy

You can buy a pack with ten masks on the Wishtrend website (here) and it has a cost of $30, so each mask as a cost of $3.00. Not the most affordable Korean mask but it’s Klairs, a well-known brand!

Right now my skin is a lot better. I found the product that made my skin break out (spoiler: it was a toner) and I’m not using it currently!!!
