The foundation that every blogger talks about | Lancome Teint Idole Wear

Hello beauties,

If there is a makeup product that I don’t mind spending a little more is on foundation! I think that foundation is a product that as the name says is the Foundation for a good makeup day.

But it’s a little tricky to choose the right one, between different finishes and colors, you have a million things to take in consideration.

The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear Foundation is one of the most exciting foundations that I tried lately, first because of all the noise that every YouTuber/blogger made about it and then because it’s available in 40 different shades, so it’s difficult to not find my perfect match!

Originally released in 1997, the Teint Idole got a revamp in 2017 for its 20th anniversary.

’24h of wear for divine, lasting perfection. Following 8 years of research, Lancôme unveils its first 24h wear Foundation for lasting perfection. With its EternalSoft technology, Teint Idole Ultra Wear defeats all challenges’.

  • Oil – and transfer-free
  • Sweat – and friction-resistant
  • Without mask effect
  • Suitable for all skin types, even sensitive
  • Matte with no powdery effect
  • Blendable

This Foundation comes in a 30mL frosted glass bottle with a convenient pump dispenser.

The Lancome Teint Idole Ultra Wear is an oil-free Foundation with an SPF of 15 that provides a medium (I dare to say, full) coverage.

I like how blendable and easy to apply this Foundation is. I also like how it leaves my complexion perfectly smooth and velvety. When applied it feels a little wet, but after a few minutes, the foundation turns matte (without the powdery effect), which I love!

More important, it doesn’t break me out (at all), accumulate on fine lines or accentuate dry patches!

This is a good foundation for combo/normal (even dry skin) but honestly, I think that it’s not the best for oily skin but also not the worst.

Let me explain, after reading so many comments about oily skin and this foundation, I was expecting something that would last hours and hours and that I didn’t have to use powder. But I need!

With powder, this foundation last a lot of time and looks great during the day! But you need to re-touch it with powder after 4 hours.

Now, not everything is perfect. Why? Because it oxidizes! So, if you are interested in this Foundation, try first and wait a few minutes to see the real color. It also transfers! It’s not the worst when it comes to the sweat-proof but it’s also not the best. The scent can also be a con when it comes to some people, I don’t mind, I like the high-end product kinda-scent (it’s really pleasant).

This foundation also contains alcohol (it’s not the first ingredient but it’s the third), some people don’t like this but I understand that alcohol is necessary to allow skincare ingredients to better penetrate the epidermis and in other times is to enhance the texture or even the ability for the product to dry down.

Overall, this Foundation really does wear well. I reach for it a lot and its probably one of the foundations that look the best on my skin, I can definitely see why so many people like this product!

In the beginning, I told you that when it comes to foundations I can be a little indulgent, but if you check the prices of some others high-end foundations (YSL, Guerlain…), the Lancôme ultra wear is not the most expensive. It costs 48€ ($48) and brings 30mL.
