My work as a pharmacist allows me to have contact with different brands, and one of them is Vichy. We already talked about some products here on the blog.
Vichy is a brand that constantly launches new products on the market for various dermatological problems. In my opinion,, Vichy’s have one of the best scents on their products, you doubt? The try the Slow Age daily cream (here) and you’ll understand what I mean.
For many years I have been a fan of their thermal water (here), and in summer I consider it a great ally! But today, I bring you a recent product, the Double-Correction Daily Care from the Normaderm range. This range has been specifically formulated with care for oily or acne-prone skin.

The packaging is, as always, beautiful, a green glass that is very strong (my bottle already fall three times and it’s still intact), a little heavy to travel but I understand why they don’t want plastic.
I read so many good reviews about this product and I’m very sad that I didn’t like it. Why? Well, I like it when I apply it. It’s a lightweight cream that doesn’t have a heavy fragrance and immediately after you apply it, you don’t feel it heavy on the skin. It doesn’t immediately turn your skin matte but it does turn it with a nice touch. But after a couple of hours, my skin is so shiny, with so much oil that I can’t believe that I used a cream for oily skin!
I used it for two weeks but I can’t like it. I do believe that it can make a change on the pore size or can have other benefits but the fact that it makes my oily skin even more oily made me drop it on the shelf!
Maybe this happens because this cream does not provides enough moisturize to my skin, making my skin produce more oil to compensate, this is the rebound effect and it’s common to happen to people with oily skin.
I really wanted to like this cream because I was searching for a good daily cream (mine is almost over) but this one is not for me. I do believe that it’s not so bad because a lot of people like it.
I will give it to my sister, she has a lot of breakouts and I think she will like it. I will keep you posted about it.
