I still remember like yesterday when in February, Selena Gomez announced that she was launching a beauty brand. I bet that you thought – do we really need another celeb beauty brand? (I did). We have been bombarded with celebrities brands – flower beauty, honest beauty, Florence by Mills, Haus Laboratories, Kora, KKbeauty and of course, Fenty beauty, are some examples of the most well known brands.
The bar is high as the formulas are getting better, so I had high hopes for Selena’s brand!
‘We empower our Rare Beauty community to challenge beauty norms by shaping positive conversations about self-acceptance and mental health. Our community is inclusive, welcoming and connected’. (Rare Beauty)
Here we are seven months later and she finally is launching Rare Beauty. I have to say that I was pretty surprised on the range of this collection, because she’s just starting it with 48 different shades of foundation/concealer! WOW Not happy with that, she also offers everything from blush and primer, to liquid highlighter, setting spray and eyeliner!
Now, let’s talk about prices… It’s slightly more affordable than Haus Labs, and Fenty Beauty, but you can judge for yourself.

What I’m excited for? Foundation, concealer, lip balms and lip creams!
What I’m not so excited for? Liquid products such the blush and the highlighter but that’s my fault because I never know how to apply them, because of that I’m willing to give them a chance and maybe they turn to be my favorite products, who knows?? The powder filler puff doesn’t excite me just because I have oily skin and I can see the puff full of foundation after the first use (and I don’t think we can wash a powder filler puff, right?).
