One of the benefits of my job (as pharmacist) is that sometimes I have the opportunity to try products first hand, and that happened when I was offered a package of the new La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 Ampoules.
The new Hyalu B5 Ampoules has an exclusive ultra concentrated formula with 3 forms of Pure Hyaluronic Acid with different molecular weight, for anti-aging efficacy in the different epidermal layers, and a repairing complex (Vitamin B5 and Blue Copper) to regenerate the skin barrier.
You may ask why they incorporated different forms of Pure Hyaluronic Acid with different weights, but the answer is simple – the high molecular weight moisturizes and fills the skin while the low molecular weight fills in wrinkles and increases skin firmness and last but not least, the micro-molecular weight reduces wrinkles and fills instantly.
It also includes:
- Vitamin B5 (to repair): Improves the skin repair process, just after 1 hour.
- Blue Copper (to recover): Protective antioxidant action. Increases skin regeneration.
They promise an immediate filling and a reduction of wrinkles in just 7 days. Big promises right? I could not believe.
I’m a believer now!
I have combination skin, my T-zone is oily and my cheeks are sensitive and sometimes dry, so I was a little skeptical about using a product with three different molecules of hyaluronic acid, which is known for its hydrating properties.
But I have to say that after using the first ampoule I was immediately a fan. The texture is ultra-light, fluid and easily absorbed. I did feel an immediate comfortable and repairing effect on the skin. It helped control the oil part and moisturize the dry and sensitive parts of my skin. I love the fact that I used this at night and on the next morning I never woke up with oily skin, which is common with certain skincare products.
I’m in my early 30s so my main preoccupation with my skin is not the wrinkles but I have to say that I have some fine lines in my forehead and close to the nose/mouth and I noticed these areas more plumped and the fine lines less prominent. It’s not a miracle that will take all your wrinkles away but I do believe that you’ll see a difference and maybe with a continuous use, the effects will be even more.
Another thing that I like is the fact that one ampoule can be used more that one time, so if you buy a pack of seven, you will be able to use much longer than seven days. I used it with my mother, so it was more that enough for a seven day treatment for two people. I think it is enough for three people. My advice, if you are using it alone, is to make a treatment of seven days, using three or four ampoules and save the remaining ampoules and do the same treatment on the next month.
As everything, this product has a thing that I didn’t like, and that was the scent. It smells like eggs, or something like that, but is not strong and it disappears after a couple of seconds.
Have you tried this product? What are your thoughts about it? Let me know in the comments.
