Since last month, we’ve been talking about some products from the Australian brand Bali Body. And I have to say that I became a fan of this brand. And you may ask why? Their products are all vegan, not tested in animals and the products are 100% natural DHA. By now, it’s not a secret how much I love their Clear Self Tanning (post here), and I have to say that, after trying it, my mother also became a fan.
In today’s post, I’m going to talk about one of their new products. And when I say new, what I want to say is that it launched today! So this is kinda an exclusive for us, and you too! You can check all the information about this product here.
I’ve been trying it for two weeks, and I have a lot to say about it. Joana still didn’t have the chance to try it, but don’t worry because I think that like me, she will like it. A lot! I tried it for both of us, and because I didn’t want just one opinion, I asked my mother to try it too. She is a sweetheart and has been religiously using it.
But before I give our opinion, let me talk … We’ll write a little bit, about what the Gradual Face Tan is.
The Gradual face tan is packed with many ingredients that we know and adore, such as:
- Sweet Almond Oil – A gentle, nourishing oil that works to soothe & restore dry skin. Rich in essential fatty acids and vitamin D.
- Shea Butter – A superior moisturizer that helps protect, soften & soothe.
- Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder – Known for its soothing, emollient, and moisturizing properties.
- Theobroma Cocoa Seed Butter – Theobroma means “food of the gods” in Greek for skincare Cocoa is known for being, a rich emollient that can moisturize and nourish the driest skin. It also contains fatty acids and Vitamin E which is a powerful antioxidant, that helps reduces the sign of aging & prevent free radical damage.
It’s very easy to use:
Step 1: For an even tan, cleanse face prior to application.
Step 2: Apply 1-2 pumps to clean, dry face and neck, blending into hairline and décolletage.
For optimal results, use every 1-2 days.
I’ve been testing this product for two weeks, and I have to say that although in the beginning, it didn’t convince me, now I’m a fan! I’m going to explain why … I have combination/oily skin, and I made two mistakes – first, I applied one entire pump (which is too much for my skin type), and the second was trying it while testing another new product. At the end of the day, I noticed some new breakouts in my skin, and guess which product was the immediate culprit?
In my defense, I thought this was the culprit because it contains so many oils. By this time, I lost my faith in it. So I asked my mother, that has the driest skin in the world to try it.
She fell in love with it. So much that she stole it, and right now, as I’m writing this, guess where the package is? In her room, right beside her bed. That’s how she loves it. She says that it moisturizes her skin so much that she feels like a teenager again. She also loves the healthy color and the ‘I’m always in the beach’ look that it provides.
I was not happy, because how could she love it so much, and I can even appreciate the results! And then, I continued to test the other product, and my skin looked so bad that I discover the real culprit! Poor Gradual Face Tan. I accused without being guilty!
So I gave it another chance, and in the last week, I use it three times. And I like the results. My advice, if you have combo/oily skin, is to use only one pump, even half-pump is enough! And never use it every day. Use 2-3 times a week, it’s enough, and you will notice results.
The skin is hydrated, plumped and it provides an (even) healthy tone to your face. The more you use it, the darker it gets. Don’t forget to blend it well into hairline and décolletage! The first time my mother didn’t hear me and believe me when I say that she regretted it. Ahah
As you can see from the photo after a couple of hours, and one use, a difference is noticeable. I love it. Looks natural, healthy, and beautiful!!
It doesn’t contain any type of perfume, which is good if you have sensitive skin. It has a faint scent but, I believe that it’s due to the oils at least I can feel the scent of almond oil and the cocoa butter in it.
If you want to know more about this product, you can check it here. In Portugal, you can find some Bali Body products at Sephora but, don’t be afraid of buying online because Bali Body ships to Portugal, and you don’t have to worry about it getting stuck in customs.
