Sephora Mini Haul

Hello beauties,

It’s been a while since I last walked into a Sephora store. Really. It’s been ages. But last week, I needed to go buy coffee at Nespresso, and guess what store is really close? Go on, guess. A Sephora, of course!

So I walked there and immediately was bombarded with new brands and products and everything looks so good. At some point, I had to stop and ask myself if it was making any sense to buy lipsticks because I have a good collection, and with masks on, that is something that we ultimately can’t appreciate.

Then it was all those new mascaras. Fortunately, I’ve been in love with the Benefit Roller Lash (post here), and this made me stop for a while what could be an impulsive purchase.

When I thought I was safe, the skincare part flooded my field of vision. Saying that I wanted everything is to say a few. So I thought to myself, what do I need? Lately, I have had a lot of dark circles under my eyes, which is not surprising because I always had them, but it’s been worse. Partly I can blame myself because I don’t use eye cream religiously, but I use one once in a while. So thinking about that, I decided to go and search for some kind of eye mascaras.

At this time, one of the employees approached me and asked if I needed any help. I said yes. Big mistake. He was nice. Don’t interpret me wrong, but I realized too late that he was a Sisley representative. So guess what brand he immediately indicated to me when I asked for an eye cream? Sisley, of course. And it cost 110€ (for 15ml)!

A few years ago, I would say yes, and I would buy it. But today, I’m more conscious, and I found that sometimes we don’t need to sell a kidney for a product that works. Call it luck or not, but when I was looking for something more approachable, I saw The Inkey List ‘shelf’ and immediately saw the Caffeine eye cream. It was destiny. I went to buy coffee and also bought a coffee eye cream. Ahaha, and guess how much it cost? 9,90€ and yes, it’s that price.

The Inkey List Caffeine Eye Cream

A few years ago, when I had a Sephora close to my house (that it’s closed now), one of their employees was always extra super nice to me, and I remember when the brand started to sell their products in Portugal, she showed me the hyaluronic acid serum and I loved it. At the time, she also showed me the eye cream, but I thought it was too cheap and I didn’t buy it, and when I de decided to, it was all sold out. With time, I forgot to check when was available. Well…now I have it.

I can’t say if it works or not. Because I just used it a couple of times, but give me a while, because I will write about it.

The other product that I bought, and I blame the Beauty to Go section, was the Ouai leave-in conditioner. I always wanted to try a product from this brand. I even follow its founder Jen Atkin on Instagram. I wish she could put her hands in my hair and do something with all of ‘this.

Ouai is pronounced Way

I can say a little more about this product because I tried it and it promises immediate results. I tried on dry hair, like a finished product (like oil, for example), and I loved it. I have split ends, and this product immediately worked its magic, and the hair looked more healthy. Love it.

Then I tried like as it says in the packaging. On wet hair, after rising the shampoo and mascara. I have to say that although I don’t hate it, I think that it’s not better than my beloved L’Oréal. Just saying. L’Oréal leaves my hair mores disciplined, and it helps me blow out it in no time.

I will continue to use it on dry hair because it makes a change. The scent is good. I was expecting something supreme after so many reviews saying that it had “the best scent of all time”. And yes, I’m quoting.

Rituals: The Ritual of Hammam and The Ritual of Ayurveda

Finally, I bought two shower gels from Rituals. I love this brand. Their products smell divine, and a big plus with these gels is that they remind me of the gel shave for men. In the beginning, they are a gel and a foam that hydrates the body and leaves it with a scent that I promise that everybody will ask you, what are you using. My favorite has to be the blue bottle. In the beginning, the scent is a little strange, but then it transforms into something clean and reminds me of a forest (maybe it’s the eucalyptus)! Oh, and because it reminds me of a men’s shave gel, I can say that these are perfect to use when you want to shave your legs or armpits. You’re welcome.

What’s the product that recently caught your eye in Sephora? Let me know in the comments.
