BALI BODY Tanning Oils | Review |

Hello beauties,

Last month we received some goodies from Bali Body, and between them came two body oils – the Watermelon Tanning Oil and the Natural Tanning and Body Oil.

I have to say that these body oils came in at the perfect time for me! The weather is getting hot, and I just started going to the beach. Unfortunately, my body is still looking pretty pale, the winter was hard, and I need some melatonin in my skin ASAP!

I am a very light and clumsy person. This means I tend to have a bruise/cut or two on my legs (you’ll see it in the video). I need a product that works and that can provide me (or help me) achieve a tan more quickly. Because it normally takes me ages to get some color.

I’ve been putting these two products to the test! Unfortunately, I didn’t go to the beach enough times to see which one tans the most, but I have some things to say about these oils.

This review is sponsored by Bali Body but as always in this blog, these are my own (honest) thoughts.

Let’s talk about each product separately…shall we?

Bali Body Watermelon Tanning Oil

The Watermelon Tanning Oil retails for 22.95€, and is available at Bali Body’s website. The package is a beautiful pink bottle. It looks so pretty and girly. If you are an Instagrammer, this bottle will look gorgeous in your pictures! It is easy to open and apply.

This product is a Bali Body bestselling and I understand why.

It contains Grape Seed Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Coconut Oil, and Watermelon Seed Extract, which naturally stimulates the production of melanin in the body while leaving a fruity scent on the skin.

Melanin is responsible for giving color to the skin. It also contains minerals and antioxidants to nourish and replenish the skin.

Bali Body Natural Tanning Oil

The Natural Tanning and Body Oil also retails for 22.95€ and is available at Bali Body’s website. The package format is the same as the Watermelon tanning oil, but while the first comes in a pink color, the Natural Tanning oil comes in gold brown color. It’s absolutely gorgeous and so chic! I love it.

Again, like the Watermelon tanning oil, the Natural tanning oil contains some sun protection (SPF 6), and as a pharmacist, I have to say that this is a very low protection. My advice is to use your usual sun protector, and between that, you can use (and abuse) of these oils.

This oil works to soothe, smooth and deeply hydrate the skin while allowing to achieve a natural sun tan.

Enriched with a blend of organic, natural ingredients such as Grapeseed oil, Coconut oil, Olive fruit oil, and Jojoba Seed Oil.

You can used it in two ways:

  • with the sun: lather generously while sun tanning
  • without the sun: Can be applied anytime as a body moisturizer. Because of the blending oils, it’s advised to dry and eczema-prone skin. For better results, apply after a shower.

I like both oils, but I have a favorite – Natural Tanning and Body Oil! So much that my bottle is already at the half!

Why? I feel that the formula is more lightweight than watermelon oil. And I prefer it that way. It’s easy to apply, and it dries to a beautiful glow. It doesn’t feel sticky and doesn’t stain the clothes. It dries quickly, and the glow that stays on the skin is gorgeous! The scent is very faint, and I like that! There are bees at the beach, and I don’t like products that call their attention.

I have to be fair and say that I don’t think the Watermelon Tanning oil has a strong scent. I honestly just feel a light fruity scent. In the end, what makes me choose one or the other oil is the formula.

I have sensitive skin, my father has eczema, and I always have trouble finding products that result and also don’t irritate our skin. Both oils work great for our skin!

Don’t expect immediate results, these oils help achieve a tan more easily and quickly but, this is not something that you’ll use one time and get two shades darker! No! It needs to be built in the sun. But I promise that you’ll see results. Be patient and apply a lot! But like I said, don’t forget to also apply a good sun protector.

If you like tanning oils, then these products are for you! If you have dry skin and like a strong oil that really tans the skin, the Watermelon Tanning oil is for you!

If you like lightweight formulas, and something that can be used, at the beach and home, then the Natural Tanning oil is what you are missing in your routine that you never knew you were missing! My skin has never been so smooth and hydrated as it is since I’ve been using this oil.
