Hello beauties,
Blame the hot and sticky weather, hormones or some beauty product that I’ve been using, but my skin has been out of control lately.
Because of that, it was the perfect time to try a mask sample that I received on my last trip to a Body Shop store.
The ‘tea tree skin clearing clay mask helps cleanse, cool and refresh blemished skin without over-drying. Enriched with community trade tea tree oil, the mask helps clear impurities whilst absorbing excess sebum, leaving skin feeling soothes and looking cleaner’.
- 100% Vegan
- Enriched with Community trade tea tree oil from the foothills of Mount Kenya.
- Soothes and calms the skin while absorbing the excess of oil.
How to use it
Apply a generous layer to cleansed skin. Leave for 10-15 minutes and rinse off with warm water. Use 1-2 times a week.
Final thoughts
This product has a fantastic consistency for a mask, making it easy to apply. I apply it with a brush and it only took a little bit to cover all my face (this sample will last a lot of time).
The green color is very appealing and it looks and smells very natural. When it dries you will think that you transformed into the Hulk. I don’t like but I don’t hate the smell. I was expecting a fresh grass scent but it’s more like old pine scent (I can’t explain)!
I was a little afraid that it would be hard to wash off (because it’s a clay mask and when it dries, it dries to a hard consistency), but fortunately, it was pretty easy. I used my trusted makeup remover towel and it only took me seconds.
After I rinse off my skin, I felt it less irritated. The blemishes are still there but a lot less red. So I can say that I see some difference on my blemishes without the drying out effect that some anti-acne products tend to make.
I finished my routine by applying a serum and a moisturizer.
I will try this mask a few more times and see if I see more results on my skin, I will keep you updated, but for now, as a first impression, I can say that I, in fact, liked this mask (a lot)!
Have you tried this mask from The Body Shop? I hear that they also have a simple Clay mask that some say it’s better than this one, have you tried it?
xoxo
