Last week we received an invitation to try some products from Coco & Eve in exchange for a review! Guess what was our answer? Yes, Yes, Please!
My preview experience with this brand was just by seeing it on the Sephora Portugal store. I admire that their hair mask caught my eye a few years ago, and it was a product that I wanted to try, so you can guess how excited I was when they offered us the opportunity to try their products.
Joana and I decided to choose a bundle for the hair, and you can have a sneak peek at it because we posted the unboxing on our Instagram page. Don’t worry, we are going to leave the video down below for you to see.
Coco & Eve’s story begins in Bali, known as paradise! They spent years testing, developing, and perfecting the formulas until creating the best products for us. One of their passions is to ensure that all of the ingredients are great and that they work. The results are important to this brand, so they don’t use drying and damaging sulfates, phthalates, or parabéns like 98.9% of beauty products. They believe in the word Natural, and we are all for it!
What made us believe in the brand is the fact that they (like us, and all of you beauties) are coconut’s about Beauty (their words), and they are passionate about ensuring that all of their ingredients are amazing. Do you need more reasons to love this brand?! wait for just a second, and I will give you eight, ready?
All of their products are:
- Sulfate Free
- 100% Vegan (so you don’t have any excuse!)
- Gluten Free
- Cruelty Free
- Paraben Free (which are very damaging for the hair)
- Toxin Free
- PETA Approved (we love brands that do not test on animals)
- Ethically Sourced
We are going to talk about all of the products we received, and the first one had to be the Super Nourishing Hair Masque! And I (Rita) was so happy because when we divided the products, I kept the mask. So I’m going to tell you all about this mask because I tested it on my super dry and damaged hair!
First, what’s this mask? Why the hype?
The Super Nourishing Hair mask is inspired by the volcanic beaches & Coconut plantations of Bali. It’s designed to not only make the hair look, feel & smell amazing, but also provide endless health benefits too!
What are the ingredients?
- Raw Virgin Coconuts: a well known ingredient that nourishes/conditions the hair
- Essence of Fig: this fruit contains hair-friendly nutrients like magnesium, vitamin C, and vitamin E which promote hair growth.
- Shea Butter: known for is moisturizing qualities
- Argan Oil & Linseed : to prevent split ends, tame frizz & add shine.
How to use it?
They provide us with some guidelines on how to use this product, and it’s really simple and has nothing that will take you half of the day, but that will help you achieve the best results.
- Shampoo your hair as usual (best if you use a sulfate free, non-foaming shampoo) & use this masque in lace of your regular conditioner.
- Leave for 10 minutes then rinse. Or, for an extra intense treatment, apply our masque to dry hair & leave overnight. Rinse out in the morning.
- For evenly coated tresses, use the tangle tamer to brush the product through your hair & glide through tangles in the process.
- Use regularly to keep your locks healthy, glossy, and in its pure virgin state.
Note – for dry hair use 2 to 3 times a week, for normal hair use 1 to 2 times a week & for oily hair, use just once a week focusing on the ends of your hair.
Results (First impressions)
This product promises super amazing hair…like a virgin…again. Hence the name. And I’m in love with it. Let me explain why…
I never felt my hair so soft and manageable. I dried my hair this week so I thought ‘this is the perfect time to try this masque’ and I was so right! I used my usual shampoo, dry towel for the hair for best results and applied this masque. Then I entertained myself, washing the body and doing some exfoliation to the body. After 10 minutes, I rinse the product.
My first impression was that this masque would not be enough for my damaged hair. I’m used to masques that immediately untangle the hair. I didn’t feel it with this mask. So, I think that in my innocence, and ignorance, I applied more product than necessary.
As soon I started to rinse it, I internally facepalmed myself because I started to see the results. And what results, the hair was untangled and soft, so soft.
I was expecting something very perfumed, but now that I think about it, the scent is exactly what it should be: coconuts and natural! The best two words to describe the scent. It’s pleasant, and I love the fact that it doesn’t overwhelm my senses.
Like I said, my hair is very dry and damaged. And every time I use the dryer, I always feel very dry hair. But this time, although it doesn’t look like it in the photo (first picture) my hair was quite tamed (you can’t imagine how it usually looks) and soft.
In the second picture, I used my beloved Steampod, and it took me half of the time to get my hair like I normally like. It was so quickly because the hair was softer, and the final result was glossy hair, soft, tamed, the splits look great, and the plus is that it smells great!
The video shows my hair before using this masque, after using the mask and on the next day, on natural light! What do tou think?
Now, I need to …. continue using this mask, but I want to try it on dry hair, as they say, overnight! So, have some patience and wait because I will going to keep you posted about the results. Do you want to try it with me? Let’s compare results!
As you know, although we have some collaborations, our reviews are always (let me repeat, always) honest. So believe that all of my thoughts about this product are exactly what I think.
