Too Faced Damn Girl [Review]

Hello beauties,

A few weeks ago, Joana showed you her new mascara (here) and today is my turn! I needed a new mascara! Did you know that our eyelashes have a lot of bacterias and fungus and that we should change our mascara after a couple of months? It is the same rule with a toothbrush!

I was using the L’oreal Lash Paradise, and I’m very happy with that mascara. So much that my initial thought was to buy another Lash Paradise, but then while I was watching some videos on youtube, I came to one vid of Vogue about Lisa Rinnas’s Guide to Ageless Skin and Her Signature Plush Lips, and when it came to the lashes, she used the Too Faced Damn girl and damn girl if her lashes didn’t look perfect and voluminous!

Since then, I had in my mind to go and buy that mascara! And I did it, of course!

First the package is gorgeous, and I wasn’t expecting anything less from Too Faced because let’s be real, when it comes to cute and girly packages they are a few years ahead, even the outside package is beautiful! My only complaint is the size because it’s very big to carry in my bag but I can always buy the mini size! It was my decision to buy the normal size.

I understand why some people don’t like this mascara, and the problem is in the brush size – because it is big, like so big! And it gets full of product, which can make a mess if you don’t be careful. A solution is to clean the wand, which wastes a ton of mascara. And that’s the main disadvantage of this product, if you ask me.

However, this mascara gives so much volume and holds the curl so well after the second coat!

I love the ‘thicker’ look that this mascara provides! If you want a more natural look, apply just one coat with a light hand, but if you want that va va voom look then apply two or three coats and you’ll see the difference – like a ‘natural falsies’ look!

At the end of the day, my eyelashes still look good, and I never notice any smudge, even after a eight hours.
